1. Clear the History

5. Reset the Network Settings

iPhone 8 Battery Draining Fast All of a Sudden? Here’s the fix
Turning on Background App Refresh may drain the battery level.
- Go to Settings->General->Background App Refresh.
- Tap “Background App Refresh”.
- Select “Off” from 3 options (Off, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi & Mobile Data).
Solution 2: Hard Reset/Force Restart
- Press the Volume Up Button and release it.
- Press the Volume Down Button and release it.
- Press and hold the Side Button (Sleep/Wake) until the Apple Logo appears.
Solution 3: Check Battery consumption for Apps
- Launch Settings->Battery.
- Under “BATTERY USAGE”, you can see the battery consumption for each app. Find which one (app) makes your battery draining so fast.
Solution 4: Turn off “Auto-Brightness”
- Launch Settings->General->accessibility->Display Accommodations.
- Toggle off (turn off) Auto-Brightness.
Solution 5: Reduce the Brightness
- Go to Control Center.
- Adjust the brightness level.
Solution 6: Turn on “Low Power Mode”
Low Power Mode reduces power consumption. When it is on, Background App Refresh, Mail Fetch, Hey Siri, some visual effects, and automatic downloads will be turned off or reduced.
- Go to Settings->Battery.
- Turn on “Low Power Mode”.
Solution 7: Check for Software Update
- Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi or Cellular Data.
- Open Settings->General->Software Update.
- Tap “Download and Install” if update is available.
Solution 8: Restore your iPhone in DFU/Recovery Mode
Before doing it, take a backup. Because this action will erase all data from your device.
- Connect your iPhone to Mac/Computer via Lightning (USB) cable.
- Open iTunes on PC/Computer.
- Make sure that iTunes is updated to the latest version.
- press the Volume Up Button and release it. Then press the Volume Down Button and release it.
- Press and hold the Side Button (Sleep/Wake) until you see the Recovery Mode screen (iTunes screen).
- Select “Restore” in the pop-up box. Wait until the process is finished.
- After restore finishes, set up your iPhone.
Note: Don’t leave the Side Button after seeing the Apple Logo. Keep holding it until recovery mode screen appears.
Other solutions:
- Replace the battery.
- Uninstall third-party apps.
- Factory Reset/Restore.
- Check Apple warranty status. If your iPhone covers warranty, take it to the Apple Service Center.
- Make an Apple genius bar appointment.

- Click This computer and select Back Up Now to create a local backup copy of your data.

DOWNGRADING IOS 12 TO IOS 11.4 ON IPHONE, IPAD, AND IPOD
Step 1 Open Settings, tap on your Apple ID, go to the iCloud section and disable “Find my iPhone”.
Step 2 Once you download the IPSW firmware file of your device, fire up iTunes.
Step 3 Open the device overview screen.
Step 4 Press Option key (macOS) or Shift key (Windows) and click Restore.
Step 5 iTunes will now prompt you to select your desired IPSW file. Simply point it to the iOS 11.4 IPSW you downloaded before. Remember, the same method will also work for iOS 11.3.1 firmware as Apple is still signing it.
Step 6 Wait for iTunes to restore your device. Once the restore gets over, your device will restart and you will need to configure it from scratch.
Step 7 (Optional) Restore all your data using the backup you made above.
That’s all there’s to it! You can now stay on the tried-and-tested iOS 11.4 until Apple seeds iOS 12.0.
