Tip 1. Transfer WhatsApp Between iOS Device via an Auto-Backup

You can use the iCloud auto-backup option to transfer WhatsApp data between iOS devices. The downside of this method is you can’t choose what data gets restored. All data included in the iCloud auto-backup will be restored to the new device.

Follow these simple steps to transfer WhatsApp data to a new phone using an Auto-backup;

Step 1: On the old iPhone go to Settings > iCloud > Backup and then tap on “Back up Now.”

Step 2: When the backup is complete, go the new iPhone and activate it. If you have already activated and set-up the new device, you may need to erase all contents and settings before you can proceed. To do that go to Settings > General > Reset> Erase All Contents and Settings

Step 3: On the set-up screen, follow the instructions until you get to the “Apps & Data” section. Here choose “Restore from iCloud Backup” and then allow for the restore process to be completed.
