No.1 Note 4 as Galaxy Note 4 clone Unboxing, Hands on, Antutu, Dual camera, GPS, Game, battery test review

As Galaxy Note 4 becomes more and more popular, it has increased the large market share right now, meanwhile, it also inspires those manufacturers who produced replica of Galaxy Note 4. So this is the opportunity for those little famous brands than Galaxy, No.1 brand is a clear example that it has released Galaxy Note 4 clone, No.1 Note 4 smartphone now. Last time, i have made a review about No.1 V phone i6No.1 Mi4, and No.1 Plus. This time I have got No.1 Note 4smartphone. And i am happy to share with you.

5.7 Inch 1280 * 720 Pixel HD IPS Screen

No.1 Note 4 looks Galaxy Note 4 very much, it also has 5.7 Inch 1280 * 720 Pixel HD IPS Screen, which provides me with the realistic visual effect when i watch movies. The 5.7inch size is a good one that i can treat it as a small tablet pc. So i can save money to buy a tablet PC. Whether i watch movies, play games, or view the pictures, the screen quality and screen color enable me to enjoy the good visual experience. This No.1 Note 4 has become my leisure device in my daily work and life.

MTK6582 Quad Core 1.3GHz + 1GB Ram 8GB Rom

No.1 Note 4 is powered by MTK6582 Quad core 1.3GHz CPU, although it's not as remarkable as Samsung galaxy note 4, i still am very glad to use it to play computer games. Because it is quite good and i didn't encounter something wrong when i play games or serach the Internet. Right now, i have no problems with it. The speed is really beyond my imagination.

8.0MP Back Camera 5.0MP Front Camera (Interpolation to 13.0MP Back Camera)

I also like photographing, if the phone doesn't have a good dual camera, i will not choose it. Fortunately, No.1 Note 4 has nice dual camera with 8.0MP Back Camera 5.0MP Front Camera and it can be interpolated to 13.0MP Back camera. Wherever i go, i take my smartphone to take nice pictures. Therefore, i can memorize the beautiful moment with my family, friends and others. At the same time, it can beautify my face with a quick shooting.

Latest Android4.4 kitkat OS

No.1 Note 4 runs Android4.4 kikat OS, which is the latest system right now. It provides more convenient experience, and operates faster than Android4.2 Jelly Bean OS. I guess that's the real reason that most people like Android4.4 than Android4.2.

Antutu Test
It has been tested by Antutu benchmark, and test score is up to 16757, which means it has nice overall performance, and it is better than other quad core smartphones.

Durable BatteryIt's built in 2800mAh battery, which supports long standby. i have tested it, if i play games by this smartphone, it can support up to 6-8 hours working without charging. This one also have the function to save 30% power than the conventional one. The good and durable battery is very important for No.1 Note 4.

Support Gesture Sensing, S-Pen, google play store, multilanguage
In addition, it has a Stylus pen to help you manage your smartphone more simply and conveniently, it can support air gesture and motion to wave hands to pick up the phone or not, or view the pictures freely without touching the screen. This one has google play store to help me download what i want. I can also set up the language into my mother tongue. In all, it brings me much convenience and practice.

Netflix sets sail for Asia-Pacific with launches in Australia and New Zealand

Currently, there are around 340,000 people watching Netflix in Australia. This would be considered normal, except for one very odd fact: Netflix isn’t officially available in Australia as yet. At the moment these users are accessing the US version of Netflix by using a VPN and paying with a non-US credit card which Netflix, unlike competitors such as Amazon, allows you to do.

Netflix has taken notice of its gaining popularity down under and has decided to launch in Australia and New Zealand in March of next year. Netflix will have little competition in the region, as only a few services such as Quickflix or Foxtel’s Presto currently exist. Given that a sizable portion of the market that is willing to pay for online streaming sites is using Netflix already, this means Netflix’s biggest competitor is itself.

No pricing was announced in the company’s statement. If past launches in Australia by services such as Spotify are any indication, it is likely to be more expensive than the US rate (US$8.99 per month) by a few dollars.

The question persists however, what will happen to those already paying subscribers? It is unclear whether current Australian subscribers (using a rogue US account) will be forced to move over to a local subscription. There are many reasons why they may want to stay with their US subscriptions, namely the lower price and the bigger content libraries. It is assumed that not all the shows that are on the US Netflix will make it over to the Australian Netflix due to licensing deals and other factors, which was what happened when Netflix launched in the UK.

However, Netflix’s foray into Australia and New Zealand may be more than just a move to grab users that already know about it. Launching in those nations can be seen as a way for the streaming giant to get its foot through the door and increase awareness in surrounding Asian markets.

Toyota gains ground in fight against Tesla as Japanese government clears new hydrogen laws

Last week, the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry quietly revised critical technical standards for compressed hydrogen filling stations. The revisions will make it easier to establish those stations, a major coup for companies like Toyota which have chosen to back hydrogen fuel-cell cars as the future of automobiles.

This decision fans the flames of the hydrogen vs. electric car debate due to its timing. Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk was in Tokyo last month to commence sales of his landmark electric car in Japan. A couple weeks later, Toyota sold part of its Tesla stake, a move which dovetailed all-too-conveniently with the company’s open dismissal of electric vehicles.

The feeling appears to be mutual. Musk is equally disdainful of hydrogen-cell cars, calling them a “bullshit” play on consumers. Given the national disparity in filling stations – 100 hydrogen stations are expected by 2015 but there are already 5,000 electric stations, he may have a point in Japan.

METI’s new regulations will make it easier for hydrogen players like Toyota to catch up to Tesla. Under the revised regulations, suppliers can use use liquefied hydrogen instead of only compressed gas in their tanks, can make storage units using cheaper composite materials instead of steel of non-iron materials, and – most importantly – reduced the space required to establish a filling station. Originally, filling stations had to be six meters away from public spaces. That distance has been reduced, assuming the supplier follows appropriate precautions. The revision remains vague on the precise change but, for reference, Japanese gasoline stations must maintain a four meter separation from public spaces.

IT Media is reporting that this change is going to make it easier to find spaces to set up hydrogen filling stations. The facilities can also be made more cheaply, another win for hydrogen supporters.

The timeline might raise eyebrows but there is nothing directly linking Toyota’s hydrogen push to METI’s decision – other than Japan’s famously protectionist automobile industry and Toyota’s standing as one of the most treasured corporate institutions in the country. Regardless of the circumstances behind the legislative change, Toyota will need some help to combat Tesla. For every hydrogen fuel-cell model sold, the Japanese firm could be losing US$133,000.flames of the hydrogen vs. electric car debate due to its timing. Google takes out a gargantuan billboard ad in Times Square

In a bid to expand the perception of its brand, Google has been on an advertising offensive since the launch of Android Lollipop. To that end, Google has now become the inaugural advertiser on the huge billboard display that has been built in front of the Marriott Marquis hotel in Times Square.

The billboard runs from 45th to 46th Street along Broadway and measures almost the length of a football field. It may not be as long as LG’s advertisement in Saudi Arabia, but as it contains 24 million pixel LEDs and comes in at eight stories tall, it’s still a tough advertisement to miss.

This isn’t just your typical billboard ad however, today passers-by can make use of Google’s Androidify app to create their own Android character to stick up on the big screen. App users from further afield can also submit their Android characters to appear on the billboard and will receive an email if theirs makes it through.

Other than adorable little Androids, Google will, of course, be using the space to advertise its latest Nexus line-up, a variety of Android Wear products, Chrome, and Maps software. Google will also be devoting some of its advertising time to six non-profit organizations; Made with Code, Charity Water, WWF, Khan Academy, NRDC, Donors Choose and Give Directly.

Google hasn’t disclosed how much the billboard space is costing, but we can imagine that it doesn’t come cheap.

Xiaomi unveils 5000 mAh power bank, priced at 49 yuan

Xiaomi postpones new country launches as it struggles to make more phones

Xiaomi is already active in six countries outside its home in China. But the gradual roll-out of new launches is now postponed as the young phone-maker struggles with production capacity.

The move was confirmed by Hugo Barra, Xiaomi’s VP of international operations, talking yesterday at an event in New Delhi, India, according to Bloomberg.

In a statement provided to Tech in Asia, Barra explains:

Our focus is to add market by market, one at a time, and to focus on bringing all of our products to each of those markets before we add a new one. Earlier this year, we talked about wanting to be in 10 markets within 2014. We realized that it’s a smarter thing to do to scale back a bit and put a ton of effort in India and Indonesia before expanding further. By the end of this year, we will be in seven markets beyond mainland China. Our next market is Brazil some time in the first half of next year.

That leaves proposed launches in Thailand, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, and Turkey postponed to various points in 2015. Presumably, mooted entries into western markets will be pushed back even further. Xiaomi said in the past that it might be ready for North America in 2015.

In further comments picked up by Bloomberg, Barra explains that the upstart brand “went from shipping 50,000 a week into India to 200,000.” He added, “We’re shipping absurd quantities into India.”

Xiaomi’s launch in India in July was met with an online backlash as the company’s flash sales of a limited number of phones frustrated potential buyers.

Building phones outside China

Barra added during his interview that Xiaomi and Foxconn, its OEM partner, are discussing making phones in India and Brazil in order to increase capacity. India-based manufacturing will begin in one to two years, while Brazil may start sooner.

Xiaomi only sells one or two models in its non-mainland-China markets (Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, and India). Its full line-up of products is available only in mainland China. Xiaomi’s flagship phone, the Mi4, came out in July but is still not available in any markets besides its homeland.

TV set that emits smells? This startup has what it takes to make it happen

Smell is the sense most strongly connected to memory, but it was the words of a university professor that transported South Korean entrepreneur Dong Wook Kim back to his childhood living room. During a lecture at Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Kim’s professor talked about how despite decades of technological advances, no one had figured out a viable way to integrate smell with TV broadcast.

Kim, who was still searching for a theme to base his research around, immediately remembered a conversation with his mother from 1980 – the same year that South Korea began receiving color television broadcasts.

“My family bought a color TV around the same time they became available – keep in mind, this was two decades after color broadcast started in Japan,” Kim says. “This cutting-edge technology had a big impact on me. I distinctly remember my mother telling me, ‘Now we can see everything in color, but someday we’ll get the smell also.’ The idea had never left my brain, and I suddenly realized my area of research.”

Kim’s startup, Aromajoin, just might be the future of movie theaters, interactive advertisements – and maybe even home entertainment.

Many attempts at integrating smell with video exist, especially at theme parks with so-called 4D movie theaters. But there’s a problem with many existing “smell-o-vision 2.0” apparatuses – they’re expensive and they often use liquid-based aroma sprays. The problem with liquid, Kim explains, is that scent particles diffuse too quickly. Sprays also have to be refilled often, decreasing cost-effectiveness.

Aromajoin’s “Aroma Shooters” use solid scent cartridges. Kim explains the advantage of a solid over a liquid:

Imagine if I pour some water onto the table. By itself, it evaporates quickly, but if I use a sponge to capture the water, it remains there much longer. By designing a solid aroma cartridge – essentially, putting that sponge into a contained environment – we can shut out the temperature and airflow to even further slow down evaporation. Then, by using a fan, we can push the scent out in small increments. Smell only comes when the fan is on, and it stops as soon as the fan stops.
The inner working of an Aroma Shooter. The black triangles, about the size of a 100 yen coin, are solid aroma cartridges.

Aromajoin’s current cartridge prototypes can provide three seconds of aroma more than 45,000 times each. That means a single cartridge can be used 250 times a day for up to six months (Kim says that different scents have different sized molecules, so some scents will last longer than others).

In addition to lasting longer, Aroma Shooters can instantly mix up to six different scents. Again, by using a solid cartridge, scents can be changed in just 0.1 seconds – faster than the human nose can scientifically detect a change. The current effective range of the current Aroma Shooter is 60 to 80 cm – and smells don’t linger after they’re triggered, either.

Kim says the startup can provide approximately 500 scents to potential customers – around 300 perfumes in addition to 200 essential oils.

Aromajoin’s Aroma Player software is simple and straightforward – it almost resembles music mixing software a la Garageband. Just upload a video and drag-and-drop scents (or mixtures of scents) at specific times. The example that was shown to me was a perfume advertisement, with the narrator traveling through the jungle to find specific fruits and herbs to make the perfect scent. As each was encountered, the Aroma Shooters went to work. The smells were never overpowering, like walking through a high-end department store’s fragrance area can often be, and I was impressed with home seamlessly the scents transitioned from one to another without mixing (unless the mix was intentional. The final scent was of the perfume itself – an intriguing way to show off a designer aroma.

Additionally, a demonstration terminal using an iPad (pictured at the top of this post) allows users to simply touch an image and have its corresponding scent released instantly.
