Asus India launches PadFone mini for INR 15,999

Asus PadFone miniLooking a budget phone-tablet combo in India, Taiwanese manufacturer Asus has launched its PadFone mini in the country. This hybrid device has been priced at INR 15,999 and will go on sale in the coming days.
For those of you unaware of the PadFone concept, it is essentially a smartphone, which comes with a tablet dock. The dock, as a standalone device, is worthless, but once you slide your PadFone smartphone in it, it becomes a full-fledged 3G Android tablet.
Coming back to today’s launch, the smartphone part of the Asus PadFone Mini features a 4-inch WVGA display, 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 1170 mAh battery. The phone also packs 8GB of internal storage, Android 4.3, microSD card slot and dual-SIM support.  On the imaging front, Asus has included 8MP rear camera, and 2MP front shooter on the phone. The tablet dock, on the other hand, comes with a 7-inch HD display and 2100 mAh battery. There is nothing else in the dock and it uses rest of the components from the phone, when it is docked inside.
