Assassin’s Creed Rogue implements eye-tracking technology

Ubisoft is about to take its Assassin’s Creed franchise to the next level in a partnership with Tobii Tech. The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be the first blockbuster game to feature eye-tracking support, powered by Tobbi Tech’s game-optimized technology.
The game will take advantage of the Steel Series Sentry, a PC eye-tracking device. It’s still a bit unclear how it will work, but it seems like its main purpose will be to control the camera. It will be “complimentary” to the keyboard and mouse. And yes, this means consoles are not likely to get this feature.
Opinion: I was worried about what such features would entail. Does this mean I would always have to be looking at the screen? Apparently not, as the game would pause itself if you look away. We will have to see how well this works. It seems exciting! Check out this video to see more.
