Photos for IS X starts rolling out to developers

iPhoto and Aperture have served us very well, but sometimes a change is simply due. Apple knows this, and that is why they announced last year that they would be killing these apps and replacing them with an improved one.
The result is Photos for OSX, a new application that harnesses the power of the power of the cloud while keeping the software powerful. As a result, it’s expected to get a more advanced experience to iPhoto, while Aperture users will likely miss the “professional” software.
Today, Apple has started pushing Photos for OSX to developers, which should soon be followed by a public beta version.
Opinion: Apple has to find a way to please both iPhoto and Aperture users. Keeping the latter happy seems more like a challenge to me. I mean, we can’t possibly believe Photos for OSX will offer the same power as Aperture… for free.
