Phillips is slowly becoming a leader in smart home accessories. They may not be the only ones around, but they are certainly the ones who have better commercialized and promoted their smart lighting products. You can’t talk about smart lighting without mentioning Phillips’ Hue, and today they are bringing us something else to talk about.

This is the Phillips Hue Go, a smart light you can actually take with you and move around. Simply unplug the Hue Go and you should get about 3 hours of light without having to recharge. It supports notifications, alarms, timers, multiple colors and more. It’s pretty awesome, but I won’t deny it’s a bit over-priced at about $100. It will hit retail stores in June, so you have some time to consider your options.

Opinion: Phillips seems to forget that, as cool as these are, they are still just lights. $100 for a bulb? I won’t be signing up.
